Training all the Time

The skills that cadets at 226 ACU learn are critical to their ability to effectively lead and care for their teams and these skills transpire into everyday life. It is the role of senior cadets and staff to ensure that their abilities are perfected.

In preparation for the NSW brigade promotion courses senior cadets prepared an external training day to give the attendees answers to questions, advice and the extra confidence for a rigorous week at Singleton Army Base.

One on one training is a great help in understanding more complex techniques such as a resection, which is a technique for calculating position in a unknown position. Candidates for senior leaders promotion attempted this an excelled, acquiring very accurate position estimates to within 100 metres.

As always, it is the effort put in after hours that makes all the difference. We wish the best of luck to the candidates for July Promotion Courses 2018.
